Windhorse: The Breeze of Delight
with audio recordings from Kalapa Acharya Adam Lobel

We are extremely pleased to present a public program on one of the most important and potent jewel-like teachings in the Shambhala-Buddhist tradition, called Lungta (Windhorse). To overcome the increase of aggression and social instability in these times, the Tibetan teachings say that we require a tremendous amount of life-force energy or Lungta. Because of the growing chaos in the world, these hidden teachings need to be more widely disseminated. In order to accomplish this, Acharya Adam Lobel has presented "Breeze of Delight - The Path of Windhorse.”
Lungta, or Windhorse, is a Tibetan term for the natural life force energy present in everyone. This uplifting weekend program introduces techniques to help us contact the vast wellspring of energy, openness and radiance that is our birthright as humans.

Acharya Adam Lobel began the path of meditation when he was 16 years old after encountering the writings and vision of ChogyamTrungpa, Rinpoche. Adam traveled extensively in Tibet, Nepal, and India, studying Buddhism with masters from various traditions. In 1997 he made a pivotal connection with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche while on retreat in Parphing, Nepal, and after completing an undergraduate degree in Anthropology, Adam attended Vajrayana Seminary and then traveled as the personal attendant to the Sakyong. He was named an Acharya in 2004 and recently completed a Masters of Divinity at Harvard Divinity School, where he is helping to establish a track for Buddhist ministers and chaplains.

This program is open to all, no prerequisites.

We will practice, and listen to Acharya Lobel's Milwaukee Shambhala Center talks from Spring, 2008 – and his mp3 recordings will be available to all participants.
